Joyce Mandel

Joyce E. Mandel
President

Joyce Mandel joined TSO in 2009 as President.  Her prior leadership experiences were in Technology Program Management (Project Management, Metrics and Quality) and Staff Leadership (Performance/Compensation Management, Professional Coaching/Development, and Change Management) at Hewitt Associates, a global benefits outsourcing organization. Over the course of her career, she has led multi-million dollar projects and managed hundreds of professional staff members and leaders. She is passionate about empowering teams to achieve results and motivating the individual to exceed expectations. Her professional roles have grown out from being an actuarial student, systems programmer/analyst, and technical implementation applications manager. Her teams have come from across the US and around the globe, including England, India and Canada.

Outside of work, Joyce is very enthusiastic about improving social issues. She has advocated for the best interests of abused and neglected children from within the Lake County, Illinois judicial system. She has also volunteered at a local women's post-incarceration transition home, Habitat for Humanity, and the Foods Resource Bank—an organization which seeks to alleviate hunger throughout our world. Joyce has a BA Degree in Liberal Arts from Lake Forest College.

 

Rand Baldwin

Rand A. Baldwin, CAE
Chief Executive Officer

Rand A. Baldwin, CAE, CEO of TSO, is a 20+ year veteran of association management, and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE). Rand has expanded operations at 15 different trade organizations and professional societies over the course of his career. He has also managed hundreds of educational conferences ranging in size from 50 to 12,000 attendees. Rand has served on two dozen Boards of Directors throughout his career. He currently serves as President of the Aluminum Extruders Council, a $1.0 million-per-year trade organization formed to promote the use of aluminum extrusion in various industries.

Rand earned his Masters of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1978 and he continues to closely follow global and national economic and political trends and opinion.  Rand has been active in organizing several charitable fund-raising events to support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and has personally advocated in court on behalf of children in the local community who have been abused and negelected.  Rand has served as the Chairman of the Missions Board at his church, which provided support to refugees, including the Lost Boys of Sudan.

 

Greg Rajsky

Gregory T. Rajsky, CAE
Vice President

Gregory T. Rajsky, CAE, has been with TSO since 1995, and has served as Vice President since 2002. An Account Executive since 1999, Greg’s client responsibilities include serving as President (chief staff executive) of the Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC), an international trade organization in the manufacturing sector. After successfully leading TSO through the process of obtaining association-management-company accreditation in 2005, he earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2006. Prior to joining TSO, he was a technical writer for the Facilities Department of a large federal agency and technical editor for an international transportation engineering firm.

Greg has been involved in natural areas’ restoration and management since 1990. He is a volunteer steward with the McHenry County Conservation District and with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. He is a Certified Naturalist through The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, where he teaches a variety of courses in ecology, natural history, and ecological restoration. He is a member of the Natural Areas Society, The Theosophical Society, The Land Conservancy of McHenry County, the Chicagoland Lichenological Society, and the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County. He serves on the Board of Directors of Small Waters Education NFP. Greg received Conservation Leadership Awards from the Chicago Wilderness Habitat Project in 2006 and 2008, and a medal from the Daughters of the American Revolution in 2008 in recognition of Outstanding Achievement for Environmental Awareness.
